KEY DATES FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN JOINING US FOR 2024/2025 ACADEMIC YEAR

Our Admissions Season for the 2024/2025 academic year remains open! At this point in our Admissions season space is limited in some classes. We encourage you to initiate the admissions process as soon as possible. 

Family Tours and Student Visits – ongoing

One of the best ways to get the feel of our school and have your questions answered is to talk with and a member of our Admissions Team. 

The first step is to fill our our Admissions Inquiry Form. Once your form is submitted you will be contacted by the appropriate member of our Admissions Team:

  • Pre-Primary – Ms. Maggie MacNevin, Head Teacher of our Pre-Primary program.
  • Primary to Grade 12 – Mr. Jacob Fletcher or Margo Bulpitt (with tours by appropriate faculty members)

Following your initial conversation, we will offer you a family tour.  Once a family decides to move forward with an application we will discuss appropriate arrangements for a student visit once the application and all related materials have been submitted and reviewed.

Wednesday, July 3rd, 2024

– 6:00pm Open House for Pre-Primary to Grade 12
This event is an excellent opportunity for prospective families to explore the unique offerings of our school. We encourage anyone who might be considering a change in their current school environment to attend.
 
At the Shambhala School, we pride ourselves on providing something truly special for our students. With smaller class sizes and more individualized attention, we offer a rich and engaging curriculum that supports the growth and development of each child. During the Open House, educators and current parents from our community will be available to answer questions and share their experiences.
 
We are a little school with a big heart and we look forward to sharing who we are with you.
 
This is a drop in event but we’d love to know who to expect, if you plan on attending we encourage you to register here register to attend July 3rd Open House

Thursday, August 29th, 2024

We are hosting a Open House and Warm Welcome to new and returning students enrolled for the 2023/2024 academic year on Thursday, August 29, 2024.

We have limited capacity to provide family tours for potential new students during this time. We will extend that invitation to families that have submitted an inquiry form and that we have had an initial conversation with.

Saturday, April 13th, 2024

– 9:00am to Noon – Primary Visit Morning (in person)
An opportunity for families that have submitted their application to have their child experience the rhythm of a regular morning in our Primary program. 

Tuesday, February 20th, 2024

– 6:30 pm – Early Years Information Session (In person)

Our teachers will host an informative panel discussion about our unique Early Years Program covering Pre-Primary to Grade One, and provide opportunity for you to visit the classrooms and talk with the teachers and current parents. This event is for parents/guardians of current students as well as new families specifically interested in enrolling in Pre-Primary to Grade One in September 2024. 

Wednesday, February 7th, 2024 

– 9:00am – 3:00pm – Grade 5 Move-Up Day (In-Person during the regular school day)

The Shambhala Middle School is getting excited about welcoming our current Grade 5 students in September!  We have created this opportunity for the incoming students to get a taste of the Middle School experience. It’s a great opportunity to meet some of our Middle School teachers and experience what Middle School will feel like.

– 7:00pm – Middle School and High School Information Session (In Person)

For parents or guardians of current and prospective students going into Grade 6-12 in September 2024.  

Wednesday, January 16th, 2024

– Grade One Readiness Session (In person)

Teacher Jordan and Ms. Amanda will discuss our grade one readiness process and the 6 year old change with parents/guardians of current Primary students. This is a very informative evening and provides a lovely opportunity for us all to support one another in the raising of these wonderful children.
